Confession
I LOVE Black Friday!!! There is something extremely awesome about waking up at 3:00 to go shopping with about 3,000 of my closest friends that gets me so excited every year, (even stayed overnight once). I get to give the kids to the husband (honestly they usually sleep through the whole thing) and walk away to shop, shop, shop. I really am not a huge shopper normally but this day just seems so great to do it. I love standing in line with people laughing about how crazy it is that we are standing in line at 3:00 a.m. for some stupid toys that our kids will forget 2 days after Christmas. I love comparing notes with my fellow line waiters and discussing the best deals comparing wish lists. Sometimes we even become co-conspirators "Hey if you see the camera before I do will you grab one for me? I will make sure to get the DVD player for you!" (The worst thing is to get in line behind a dud though, that happened to me once or twice BORING, now I make sure and bring friends with me). I have recruited a few people to this way of shopping and that makes it even better because I get to talk about it for weeks before the day. Last year I got to go with my SIL's in Colorado and it was a blast,although I must say it was a lot colder for line waiting. The best part was we were done by I think 8:00 a.m. and then we all went out to breakfast and got to visit and hang out. It is kind of a girls night out in reverse! Such a fun time, and such great memories. I am SO EXCITED for this year!!!! Any others out there?

My sister-in-law and I use to do this. I do like to go but not at 3:00. Jeff loves to go. What do you do when your husband likes it more than you????? He has gone at 3:00 and come back at 5:00 to get me. Hope you are nice and warm.
I am the polar opposite. I do all shopping online...I can even get most of my gift cards online. Have fun, though1
I LOVE black friday shopping. I'm with you on that one! This year since I am going solo I will be showing up at the store when it opens and waiting for the crowd to all get inside before I get out of my car since I am 7 months pregnant...that way I'll last longer once the doors are open. Have a great thanksgiving and a happy black friday!
Sigh. Wish we could do it again this year. Boo.

We go every year as well. Some years are more fun than others. When there is something specific that you are going for, and can save money and get a good deal, it is awesome. This year we went and I didn't really have anything to get, so we just went and looked for good deals. It wasn't too fun. Did you have any luck?
