Baseball Game

Okay so Jed rented some space at the local AA baseball league field tonight. It was Thirsty Thursday (beer and sodas $1.00) so he thought he might do well!! Well we decided to take the kids to the good ol' American baseball game. We have taken Ashlee before, but this was the first time she actually seemed interested in what was going on. It was so dang cute!!! She sat down and her eyes were glued to the field. Of course she was watching the outfield until I pointed out that all of the action was at the other side. Hyrum got into the action by clapping away to the music. Jed received some tickets for renting the booth so we invited a couple of Ashlees friends, and their parents (I'm not that crazy yet!!), to come as well. Needless to say fun was had by all. The kids all had to sit together. In the picture it is Zack in front, Ashlee, then Drew.Ashlee has one friend in particular. His name is Zack and he is an older man - 4 years old!!! Anyway, one day we were at a friends pool letting the kids play when Zacks mom, Angie, and I noticed that our kids had gone off by themselves to play. Angie looked up just in time to see them hug each other and then they both leaned in for a kiss!!!!!!! Can you believe it?????? I always knew it would happen one day but this soon??? Well we called them over and we were informed that Zack was the Daddy Dinosaur and Ashlee was the Mommy and he was going to work, so evidently they both see Mommies and Daddies kissing a lot!!!! Good or Bad??? Hmmmmm?????

My Baby is 1 years old!!!

Well our little baby officially turned one year old today. My oh my time does fly. We had a little party for him on Saturday and invited our California family to come. We just had a big BBQ and we bought a little pool for the kids to play in as well. The kids had a blast!!! Hyrum loves water but when Jed tried to put him in he wanted right back out...We made homemade ice cream (a huge hit) and hamburger/hot dogs. The hardest part was keeping the birthday boy awake through all of the festivities. He was sooooo tired. And kept closing his eyes. Ashlee had a few friends over to play with her along with cousin Brianna. Jed said the only thing he wanted for Hyrum was for him to stick his hands in the cake and get all gooey and messy - which he did!! No dainty little boy is he. Aunt Marlena gave him a balloon that sings every time you hit it so that became the toy of choice for the kids. Once again he was spoiled with a new baseball game and a Build-A-Bear panda from Aunt Lena. (dressed in Lakers gear for Daddy - Jazz was not available so the next best had to do!) All in all it was a great day with fun had by all!

Tired little one...

Well the other day I was trying to clean up the house a bit. I was finding it difficult as Hyrum was exceptionally fussy. As I tried to come up with different things to help him - run the vacuum (he LOVES this), rock him, give him a bottle I found that NOTHING was working. I was getting upset and I finally thought to put him in the high chair to see if he wanted food. I placed a small handful of goldfish (mom's secret problem solver) on the tray and went back to cleaning the house. A few minutes later I returned to.....

I guess that the life of a 11 month old is truly overwhelming!!! The sad thing is when I tried to pick him up to move him he had little fishies plastered all over his face. So the question is this..Has anyone else done something like this or am I the only one?????

Easter weekend was a blast for our little family. On Saturday Jed and Ashlee had a wonderful daddy daughter day. They went to fly a kite in the park while Hyrum and I looked on. Here is a picture of my little drama girl in her sunglasses! Ain't she cute??? They then went for a jog together and Ashlee talked Jed into taking her out on her little tricycle. Jed dutifully followed her around until he finally said "I am done!!!" and came back in the house exhausted. On Easter the kids awoke early and as Ashlee is still little she didn't have the anticipation of the Easter bunny so she didn't run to check. Actually she walked right past her little basket. Then she looked over and exclaimed "What is thaat surprise????" She loved her Little Einstiens toys and looked all over for the two others she already had. It was cute. Hyrum just sat and played with the little cars he got. Then we went to church. My family came over after church for the typical ham dinner, which was delicious!! After that we hid eggs in the backyard for the kids and Ashlee and my niece Brianna had a ball finding them. In my family we have a tradition of finding the eggs, then hiding them again, and again until we all get tired!!! It was cute each time Ashlee saw one, she ran up to it and screamed "I found it, I found it!" She still talks of finding eggs and everytime she is in the backyard she looks around for them. All in all I would say it was a very nice time. (Sorry about the messy look of all the pictures I am still trying to figure it all out!!)

Our Family

Well after much harrasement from others here is our families blog! The sad thing is that I feel like I should have something important to say when posting here, but I am assured that I can be as dumb as I like and no one will care. So here we go, I'll start with the little ones as they are cute and leave me plenty to write about...Hyrum is crawling everywhere now and I truly can not believe that he will be turning one in two months. He has been a good baby and he truly loves his big sister and daddy. He does the funniest thing when he gets excited...we call it the foot clap. It is like he is so excited that he can't just clap his hands, he slaps his feet together over and over as well expressing is utter joy. Truly it is something to see. Ashlee is just such a little girl. She is into Princesses big time and has a different outfit to put on for each and every princess movie she watches. She loves for things to match so if she has a pink dress on then she needs her pink rings, pink shoes, pink necklace. Unfortunately a lot of these things get lost so it causes quite the tantrum when heaven forbid she must wear white shoes! Visions of teenage years are definitely flying through my head auuuggghh!!!!!!! As for the parents of these to monsters---well nothing really to report. Jed is working hard at Big Dog and is stilling a selling machine. Me..well I am loving being at home with my two munchkins and living back in good ol' Fresno. It is nice to be near family and I know Grandma (or Banka as Ashlee has named her)loves having us close. Anyway I can't promise intellectual stimulation with this little blog, but I will attempt to keep it updated with the latest and greatest about us...so leave a comment email if you can. We love you all!!!!!!!
